![]() ![]() Good luck with finding your ideal solution. I'm using the PLEX apps on my computers (Windows, MacOS), Televisions (Samsungs) and my IOS devices and this is working really great in my opinion.Įxternal SRT subs (in my case) are shown without a problem and selectable in the plex app. Thing with PLEX is that the DLNA mediaserver part is not all that good (Which was the way I was using Twonky and twonky on that part is really good), but when you adapt all your devices to start using the PLEX apps than this changes. It takes some time getting used to PLEX and adapting your media library to really complement the software of PLEX, but when you bite through it, I at least would never want to go back. It’s compatible with PCs, as well as with embedded and. In the beginning I was not all that happy with PLEX, but been using it now for like 9 months and must honestly say (in my opinion now) it's a great media server and a lot more advanced than Twonky. TwonkyMedia server (TMS) is an application that you can easily use to stream multimedia content over a home or small business network. Started experimenting back then and eventually I switched over completely to PLEX. ![]() Already back then was unable to find it in the app center. Twonky DLNA Media Server version 7.2. I saw this change coming somewhere mid 2016, that the license would disappear from standard QNAP firmware. TwonkyMedia server can be used to share and stream media to most UPnP AV or DLNA-compliant clients, in addition to non-UPnP devices through the HTML, RSS, and JSON supported front ends. TMS runs on Linux, macOS, Microsoft Windows, iOS, Android and QNX operating systems. Why do i have not the option of Linux Station? TwonkyMedia server (TMS) is DLNA-compliant UPnP AV server software originally offered by TwonkyVision GmbH. I checked plex and media streaming app and srt are not shown.
